Awaken and Invigorate: Digest and Distribute

Join us for an evening of yin yoga poses focused on the Stomach and Spleen meridian/energy channel. According to Chinese medicine, there are 7 meridians or invisible energy channels in the body and yin yoga can help move energy, and blood flow to various parts of the body through these energy channels. The stomach and spleen meridians control the processes of digestion and distribution in the body.

Yin Yoga focuses on stretching the connective tissues in the body to make them more flexible and agile, through long deep holds, while being supported by props, including bolsters and blocks. This is a mindful meditative practice for anyone and everyone. You do not need yoga experience to attend this extended practice. Aromatherapy will be provided for further R&R. Get ready to enhance the functioning of your digestive functions, enhance your immunity, and let go of the external world !

The workshop will end with a 20 minute Sleep Meditation. It is intended to induce full-body relaxation and a deep meditative state of consciousness.
